For a zombie score, there are a surprising amount of tender, lyrical moments. Aided by a 12-piece string section, a Rhodes electric piano and some bell-like synth work, the calmer moments are – as you might expect – interrupted regularly by jarring action. Bursts of discordant brass, zombie vocalisations detuned and stretched, and a guitar played using a variety of kitchen implements and put through an unhealthy amount of distortion. Naturally.
