THE GRUFFALO RIDE
CHESSINGTON WORLD OF ADVENTURES

I was asked to write some new music for this ride, to complement Rene Aubry’s beautiful score. It was a pleasure to venture into the deep, dark wood & help to bring the Gruffalo ride to life.
Since this was augmenting rather than reinventing, I stuck solidly to Rene’s orchestration and textures, his use of brass, piano, acoustic guitar etc, and kept my ego locked up in a little cupboard until I was done.

I think Rene’s music for the character (and others) is gorgeous, and I hope my modest addition to the canon is, at the very least, tolerated.
